I have played blues for
fifteen years, now. Although I have done stints as a second guitarist and a bass player, my passion is playing as a solo act.
Having just moved from North East Texas to Central Ohio,
I find myself starting over again.
Some of the things I
have done musically in the past include a rather long run of coffee house performances in a duo with one of my high school
buddies, Danny Hill, that was dubbed “The Mojo Boys”, and another duo format we just called “Paul and Cody”,
with Cody Shook, who went on to play heavy metal. “Paul and Cody” was an eclectic mix of folk, country, rock,
and blues tunes, and, if I may say so myself, was a definite crowd pleaser! I then took off on a solo flight, playing at parties
and coffee houses, and found that I really enjoyed the freedom of being unencumbered by “artistic differences”
that are so often present in a band situation. But, then I moved away from Fort Worth, TX. to Paris, TX. and met Roosevelt
Twitty. “Rosey” had a thirteen year old student, and they were looking to start a band, so, I signed on. We played
as the Blues Buddies for roughly three years (with me either on third guitar, or bass), until I decided to leave the band,
and moved to Ohio.
In the interim, I have
recorded a demo c.d., and have begun formulating plans for a live performance DVD, which will be available on this web-site
soon. I am looking for small venues in the Columbus area to play in, but, I am willing to travel. I am also very interested in playing at
private parties, and house concerts. If you think we can forge a business agreement, please click the picture to see my email
address. Thanks for stopping by!! (Don’t forget to sign my guest book!)
Later,
“Junior”
